EXCLUSIVE: Damon Lindelof talks about THE LEFTOVERS

Wednesday night (October 28, 2014) at the Television Academy in Los Angeles, Damon Lindelof discussed his role as a show runner on LOST and THE LEFTOVERS. Lindelof revealed that he and his staff had started meetings to write the second season of THE LEFTOVERS on Monday (October 27) of this week. He joked thad we should see the second season sometime in 2018, referring the to in-depth writing process the writers of the show undertake.

Lindelof also spoke about the process of creating LOST versus the process of creating THE LEFTOVERS at the event. He commented that it took his team the same amount of time to create 10 episodes of THE LEFTOVERS as it did to create 23 or 24 episodes of LOST. “We made ten episodes of The Leftovers and I was like, ‘fucking True Detective! They made six episodes and of course, it’s brilliant,'” Lindelof added.
